Has anyone heard of a dessert called Dahdah? I have some family members that used to buy it all the time in Amman many years ago. It is multi-colored. The bottom layer is a mix of semolina and turmeric, making it yellow. Then there is a layer of cinnamon with some chopped nuts. These layers alternate giving the dessert alternating layers of colors. I got to try it a couple years ago, but there are no more bakeries that make it. Has anyone ever heard of it before? Does it go by a different name? Is it still sold anywhere? Any recipes for it out there?
