  1. I still won't be drinking Miller
  2. We had several bottles of Belgian Trappist and Abby Ales with Smithwicks (my favorite everyday beer) to clear the pallet in between including: Trappist Roquefort #10 (Just as good as Chimay Grand Reserve but not worth twice the money) Chimay Grand Reserve (May be the finest beer of it's kind) Chimay Cing Cents (good for a light ale) Assorted others that I can't remember the names of. We did have one truly exceptional lighter ale, I need to get back to the store and try to figure out what it was. It was definitely a keeper. Next time we need more tasters or less beer That’s funny “less beer.” We just need more practice.
  3. I tried a Blue Moon earler today. It was good but I wouldn't call it beer. I also had my first Guinness today... oh the time waisted. (it's no Chimay but it's close, it's also cheeper and easer to find) Then I had a Bass Ale... oh the money waisted. (I could've had another Guinness) Oh and several Bud lites too

    Taddy Porter

It wasn't skunky at all the first sip was vinegary when you got past that it was fine. Everyone who tried one said the same thing.

    Taddy Porter

I recently had Taddy Porter for the first time. Why does the first sip taste vinegary? After that it was fine. Is it supposed work like that or was something wrong with it?
  6. I have a bottle in the fridge, I may have to drink it right now and see for myself.
  7. I enjoyed a Chimay Grand Reserve earler today, it is easily the best beer I have ever tasted. The other day I opened a bottle of Trappistes Rochefort #10, good but not as good. I have several other Belgian Ales I haven't tried yet. I did have a Holland Abbey Triple Ale Saturday, it was good, a little lighter slightly fruity but I prefer darker ales.
  8. I picked up a bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve it's good with a little water and ice. I also have a bottle of English Harbor Extra Old also good but not as smooth as the El Dorado. I'm still looking for Santa Teresa 1796. I'll have to keep the list with me and look for the rest. Thanks Tad
  9. Is any other rum as good as or similar to Cask 23? Or am I just wasting time and money looking. Thanks Tad
