I spent most of my formative years in Parma, Ohio. After that, I lived in Cincinatti, Cleveland and Savannah, moved to IL 4 years ago. I've always enjoyed cooking, learning by trial and error and reading any cookbooks I could get my hands on (this perplexes my hubby, he can't understand how I can spend hours leafing through cookbooks and the internet looking at 50 different recipes for one dish). In between kids (I have 4 sons), I've been a server, bartender, cocktail waitress and cook. I'm not ready to leave the babies yet, I still have 2 in diapers. But when I do, I'll probably get back to serving, the hours are more flexible...my family is my first priority. Until then, I'll just continue experimenting at home with different foods and techniques, making my brood unwitting guinea pigs.
