  1. The Warehouse is really nice and well worth a try. Otherwise try the London Carriage Works or 60 Hope Street in liverpool.
  2. interesting dilemna. I agree with other posters that I don't want to go out on Valentines. For the first time ever I am actually going to be with my partner of seven years on V-day but suddenly thought couldn't stand the thought of a restaurant. but if you spend your life in kitchens you don't want to cook for yourself! So how about one of these places that offer to deliver special meals - has anyone found a good one of them? We have a service called Break Bread which does great meals delivered to your door - local sourcing, freshly cooked etc.
  3. well last year i vowed to make Anthony's in Leeds and Borough Market and failed on both accounts, so i hope to do better this year. Any recommendations on must visit places, especially as i am getting married and honeymooning in Canada - Vancouver, Toronto, Jasper, Banff etc
  4. Can't fault Thom there on thorough recommendations, though I have heard of some people disappointed by Spoon but haven't checked it out myself yet. I had a nice lunch at Fellinis a while ago.
  5. PR is not that expensive, what I don't understand is restaurants who spend hundreds advertising in local papers which are just not worth it.
  6. Andy - yes we do have a high price to pay for good food but we know it is worth it! Jaded southerners are so unlucky
  7. It isn't just London where people don't appreciate real quality food on their doorstep. We have a fantastic restaurant Fraiche in Wirral but the locals just don't seem to understand what they have. Wirral has suffered before not having fantastic restaurants and now that is changing I hope people begin to use it and stop complaining. Locals winge about the prices when you can get three courses for around £30 and the tasting menu is to die for. Fraiche 11 Rosemount Oxton Village Wirral CH43 5SG Tel: 0151 652 2914
  8. Hi, I am really enjoying reading your food adventures, also it opens up whole new worlds for me being based in the UK.
