About Me
I founded and owned (for over 10 years) an award-winning, nationally acclaimed baking business, An American Kitchen, which I sold in 2001 to spend time with my family. I wrote a cookbook, Chewy Cookies, which was published by Prima in 1995, and Marshmallows: Homemade Gourmet Treats, which was published in 2008 by Gibbs-Smith Publishers. I'm working on my third cookbook and currently consult with high quality, small restaurants on their dessert menus, develop recipes for corporations, and am the author of a website for home bakers entitled How the CookieCrumbles, which offers baking help and recipes for "from scratch" baking, notes on my food travels, and general writing about food. I'm a member of Les Dames d'Escoffier, for which I have served on the Philadelphia chapter board, and IACP.
