Born in Ann Arbor, MI, but lived in downstate NY from age of 11 to 25. BA in Pol Sci, BS in geology, JD. Moved to Oregon 1982, currently living on Oregon coast, solo legal practice. Volunteer occasionally w/1000 Friends of Oregon (conservation organization), Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition and Coast Watch. Garden and cook with friend who lives about 20 miles inland and has 1/3 acre garden, apple trees, plum trees/big shrubs, quince trees, medlar tree, blueberry bushes, tayberry bushes, thimbleberry (wild), strawberries (I have native strawberry in my small yard), grape vines, hazelnuts--provides lots of raw material--just for eating and for cooking.
