Heather Marks

I am co-owner of Heather's Heat and Flavor, a hot sauce, herb and spice store in Lyndhurst, OH (eastern suburbs of Cleveland) with my husband, Brian. We opened the store in Oct. 2003, and Brian's mother opened a second store in Hudson, OH in Jan. 2005. Brian and I love to cook, eat, talk about food... you get the picture. We got the idea for our store while on a trip to India, where we spent much of our free time in the spice markets. We felt our store was needed in Cleveland because we often had difficulty finding all the ingredients we wanted. I still have a day job in corporate communications for a financial services institution. My dream is to one day be in the specialty food retail business full time.
