Ana Alfaro

Born in Panama, 1957 of a Panamanian-Ecuadorian father, Czech-Canadian mother. Undergrad degree in Business Administration from Universidad Santa María La Antigua, Panama, Degree in Japanese Language from Sophia University, Tokyo. Worked in fragrance industry for ten years (5 of them with Hermes, Paris), which allowed for extensive travelling. Food critic for Diario La Prensa, Panama, since 1999. In charge of La Prensa's weekly food cover feature since 2001. Member of Slow Food, IACP. Fluent in English and Spanish, conversant in French and Japanese.
