  1. Face to face, most definately- it makes conversation easier. At home though, we do sit at right angles. I do have to agree that sitting side by side does make it easier to talk about people at other tables (one of my favorite practices!). I just think it looks weird when I see couples sitting side by side- when I waited on tables, I always thought it looked like they were waiting for more people to arrive.
  2. I just brought a few knives to KitchenArts and they did a great job- dropped them off on Thursday afternoon and they were ready the next day. Price was $8 for 2 - 10 inch chef's knives and a paring knife.
