  1. I would have to add Bacar to that list, if only for DAT. I went last year, and the atmosphere is fantastic, with live jazz music after nine I think. The food is good enough for the price, the pork chop I had was memorable, but the wine list is for real. Many choices ranging in cheap to very expensive, and the staff is knowledgeable as well.
  2. Thanks so much for the info, I like what chef blais is doing there fo sho!!
  3. Im actually located in the SF Bay Area and had not heard of OMK till now, is there any more info my fellow gullteers can provide me with. How long has it been open, etc. The food souds great and coupled with a chef who is so willing to go the extra mile, makes this restaurant sound great!!!
  4. I had a great meal back in July at Hanks, I was expecting a simple ingredient driven seafood restaurant, but was surprised by some interesting flavor combinations and very thoughtful presentations. It was also a very fun atmosphere!! Especially the community table where about 15 guests dine together...a great idea!!
  5. That Tuna is absolutely spectacular!!! I am so jealous as I have never in my life seen Toro like that before. Thanks molto for opening my eyes to this wonderful diamond in the rough!!
  6. great post, thanks so much...i also enjoyed your Schwa review as well!!!
  7. Has anyone eaten at Butter in Chicago recently?? Ryan Poli has an impressive resume and the menu look great, Any information would be great Thanks!!
  8. I was just wondering if anyone had been to Winterland recently. I know Michael Bauer ripped it in his review in June, but with the chef's credentials I thought maybe this place would have a chance to be good if not great. Is he just trying to be too hard perhaps???
