  1. Thank god that some one can speak the truth about the "great" Nicholas. I also had the steak & found it to be a very poor cut of meat. Also, mine was over cooked, I'm not sure how it happened because the steak is pre-sliced in the back. When the server brought it out he tried to sauce it very quickly. I told him that I'd like to do that myself, this way I could actually see how far over mid-rare it was cooked.
  2. For the Freehold/Howell area I'd say Citrus - www.citrusnj.com For the RedBank/FairHaven area it would be Le Fandy - not sure of web site.
  3. If in the Freehold area I highly recommend you try Citrus. Here's their website: www.citrusnj.com I found it to be a really great dining experience.
  4. One of my best finds the year was Citrus in Freehold.
  5. Songo changed ownership about 1 year ago & the main chef left also. In my opinion it is not as good. Le Fandy is in Fair Haven & pretty good. FYI, the orgininal chef from Sogno is at his new place called Savannah Grill on bridge avenue at the galleria. Also a really good & different place is Citrus over in Freehold. You'll feel like your in a nice SoHo restaurant.
  6. I would try Citrus in Freehold, it's about 20 mins west.
  7. There is a new restauarant in Freehold called Citrus that you may want to give a try. I've been there twice & the food is excellent. Also the interior has a very NY/SOHO feel to it.
  8. I've been to Citrus, it is strikingly decorated inside & the food was prepared & presented wonderfully. Service is also very gracious & helpful. I’ve been to many restaurants in the Monmouth County area and this is the best I have ever experienced.
