  1. By the way we went to Guy Savoy for lunch last sept and thought it good but way over priced.
  2. My wife is major picky so picking a interesting restauant is always a challenge. We have always been sucessful at Chez Catherine tho it is more expensive since they have moved They are also very friendly. She also really likes chez Michel- which kind of surprises me but we always have a great meal there tho their attitude is so so.We both really love Taillevant and Le Meurice-tho we go to both for lunch. Le Grand Vefour is a better value for lunch than diner. As to Barcelona she did like both Abac and Ca l'Ilidre[this was a great value]- i was very apprehensive about both. Good luck.
  3. We are going to Abac next month for diner- in general what is the dress for these kinds of restaurants-do most people wear a jacket or is it not necessary- trying not to be a ugly american. thanks
  4. We are going to aspen and Beaver creek end of month and considering these two restauarants. Would also like a more casual restauarnt for Beaver Creek/Vail.
  5. We are going to Barcelona in september and I have read with interest the commentaries on the barcelona dining scene. My problem is my wife. i am a real foodie and always enjoy new tastes and wines but my wife has food allergies-garlic and tomato[we just got back from provence and that was a real challenge]. So my question is this I think that possibilities would be Abac, Drolma, Ca'l'Isidre and Colibri but will my wife find anything to eat . She prefers fillet mignon, rack of lamb, chicken breast, veal if tender and not a strange piece and she will eat some fish-salmon, st pierre, monkfish, maybe cod and halibut. as long as it is not too strangely prepared. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
