My brother and I went on a "Famous Ribs Tour" about 3 years ago. We grew up with my dad bringing home big, white Carson's take-out boxes, and we were really looking forward to our visit there. I completely agree with the original post, the ribs were sub-standard; Way overrated. What I do love is the au gratin potatoes as a take-out item. My mother would throw them in the broiler to crisp-up the top. Gooey on the inside, crispy on top and full of potatoes. Delicious.
