There's a ton of restaurants on each side of Connecticut Ave. from where you are. I haven't been in the area for a while, but I've heard good things about the Zoo Bar across from the entrance to the zoo.

If you take the North exit out of the airport, onto rt. 436 (Semoran Blvd.), there are a lot of choices nearby. There's a Denny's at the first light, but if you drive 2-3 miles you will have lots of choices.

There are menus here: Disney menus Are you looking for a buffet or a sit down meal? Inside the parks or at a hotel or downtown disney. If you're looking for something quick and fairly good, there is a good fish and chips place at Downtown Disney. They have both table service and counter service (with outdoor seating, nice for people watching) and a decent selecton of British beers. it's called Ragland Road. If you are looking for something nicer, try Boma and Jiko. The restaurants at Epcot are overpriced, IMO, although the counter service at Morroco is not too bad. Where in Orlando will you be staying? Will you have a car? a budget? I just moved to Oviedo (NE of Orlando) and am trying out new places.

You could grind the pepper first into a plate, mix with whatever seasonings you want, then rub the meat on both sides from the stuff on the plate.

We were there in 2000, and had a lovely lunch in one of the open area sit downs.

Luisita Grill in Cloverly. Nice new Mexican/Latin place. We went because of a coupon in the Gazette, and were very pleasantly surprised. The banana strawberry pie was heavenly. Everyone was very happy with their dish (group of 4), and service was very attentive, although there was a bit of a language problem (I speak Spanish, so played translator). I had the fried fish (tilapia, whole), DH had the shrimp skewers (2 with 5 large shrimp each), and our friend had the beef fajitas ("This is STEAK!" he said happily). They were doing some carry-out business, but we were the only dine-ins. We promised to come back and spread the word. i work at LC and I'm kind of tired of the places around here, but if you don't mind a little walk, on Pennsylvania and 6th, there's a Turkish place with a fairly good lunch buffet. I think it's called Aatish. Also, across from the Eastern Market, there's an inexpensive Mexican/Salvadoran mostly carryout, but with a few tables, Tortilla Cafe. Their quesadillas and flautas (which are fat, like egg rolls) are pretty good.

There's a fairly new Cuban place, Cuba de Ayer, in Burtonsville, MD; but it'll be quite a drive for you. It's on 198, just west of rt. 29, in a perpendicular strip mall. I only went for lunch, but the food was good and it wasn't too expensive.

I'll second Pasta Plus, but it is a bit far from I-95. What kind of food are you looking for?

Me! Five Guys is opening at 13th & F Five Guys I have not eaten there, but they keep getting awards. Let me see if I can think of anything else. I'm kind of jaded on places around Capitol Hill, except for Bulgogy on Mondays ($4.95, includes rice, kimchee and a little salad) from Pete's Diner (2nd st. SE, just south of Independence). What areas will you be visiting?

We had a lovely dinner at La Tasca on 7th Street during Restaurant week. La Tasca
