  1. Hey I use to get my hair cut in Ho HO Kus Back when I had hair But other then my Rogain dependency It's a nice store, Been there a few times Robert R
  2. OK, Maybe the wines where not up to par with the cuisine that was served,But it seem's to me Cabrales found it enjoyable and worth the cost. And how often do you get to converse with five top chefs and discuss there cuisine? For me that would be worth the cost alone. I also commend her on supporting Blue Hill. which is something we should all consider if we don't want the day to come when all the bread sticks and salad you can eat will be societys idea of fine cuisine
  3. Cabrales, Did Wylie happen to give you any indication of when WD.50 would be opening? Also great post. It was like the sun finely breaking thru the clouds at the end of the day if you know what I mean.
  4. Hi Cabrales. I'll never forget a meal my wife and I had at Union Pacific a few years back. My wife had ordered the bay scallops with uni and as I was returning from the rest room our apps had arrived and my wife was staring down at the plate with a look of despair on her face. Needless to say we exchanged appetizers. An at my first taste of the scallops my thought was Shocking, but I found it refreshing and brisk. Did you know the White Truffle Risotto is on the menu in honor of Gray Kunz? Another great report Cabrales Robert40
  5. There Is a short piece in the november Gourmet on Blue Hills shot glasses of soup. If I recall we would do something similar at the Inn At Little Washington in the mid nineties in espresso cups.
  6. I was able to secure reservation at studiokitchen next month, which I am highly looking forward too. Sure was not an easy task convincing my wife this excursion is worth the drive from upstate N.Y. and worse yet that it would likely not be an appropriate setting for a ten month old baby girl and her baby sitting service would be highly appreciated because this is purely an educational experience. [Hopefully I'll be off the couch by new years] But amends are already made because we plan to fit a dinner in at Vetri in early December also. Wondering what peoples thoughts on Vetri are? Any opinions? Robert. R.
  7. Cabrales, please do have a enjoyable dinner and great day and report back when you have the opportunity. thank, you robert.r.

  11. I have been waiting in serious anticipation the opening of WD-50, I am a big fan of Wylie's work. But after reading your report on Blue Hill I must say I may have to put Wylie on hold and try Blue Hill. Thanx Cabrales
