  1. For the record. I see that KFC's buckett of Fried Chicken, is used to illustrate a reference to Southern Fried Chicken. Well friends, the Colonel was a master at advertising. For the whole accurate story I'll have to dig into the archive. For now though, our fond friend the Colonel, was a Seattle restaurant cook. He developed his coating for chicken at the Twin Teepies, which were located west of Greenlake on Hwy 99. The buildings burnt beyond repair and were removed about five years ago. Seattle Public Library and the Seattle Museum Of History, for that matter KFC, can fill you in, on line, with all the history. Bottom line........ KFC therefore is a Washington Yankee product and should never be confused with a confederate concoction!
