  1. Russian Spring Punch (Original) This a drink originating from England, and it is a creation of Dick Bradsell. Many people imitate this drink, adding their own twist to it, but they all verge on being sickly sweet. 1 fl oz Vodka 1 fl oz Fresh Lemon Juice 1/4 fl oz Sugar Syrup (7:1 ratio) 3/4 fl oz Creme de Cassis (blackcurrant) 3 fl oz Champagne/ Sparkling Wine Shake all ingredients, apart from the Sparkling wine, with ice, then strain into an ice-filled tall glass. Cutie Pineapple this is really just a rum punch, but I loved the way it brought the pineapple flavour out. 2 fl oz White Rum 1/2 fl oz Vanilla Syrup 1 fl oz Fresh lime juice 1-1/2 fl oz Pineapple Juice Shake with ice, then strain into an ice-filled tall glass.   8. after reading an article by Gary Regan I decided to try pineapple and serrano chilli infused tequila. It was enjoyed by Customers and Kitchen staff alike. Another good Tequila infusion is strawberries. That was easier to sell than the other tequila infusion. Cheers! George

  11. I just made up this new drink for my bars summer cocktail menu. It is a reference to a regular warehouse party called "Hoxton Pimps" my drinks name is Hoxton Pimms 25ml Millers Gin 25ml Pimms No 1 2 dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters Top with Apple Juice Build over ice, in a tall glass.   12. the Morello cherry bourbon is sweet to the taste at first, then the bite kicks in. Its got cherry, but it doesn't smother the bourbon.

  14. Beans: I am still at Grand Central. the gin that I first encountered with basil gin was Bombay Sapphire, though I am currently using beefeater. Basically add 6-8 large basil leaves, then leave them in the bottle for a week. you will have to take the basil out after a while as they may go mouldy. Garden of Earthly Delights. 1 1/2 shots Basil Gin 1 shot Pineapple Juice 1/4 shot fresh lime juice 1/4 shot Maraschino liqueur Shake with ice, then strain over fresh ice in a hi-ball glass. Top with Tonic Water. I hope I got that right, as I can't find my recipe sheets anywhere. There was another drink with basil gin in it. Cheers! George
  15. Mirage Cocktail 1 1/2 shot Le Fee Absinthe 1 shot white creme de cacao 1/2 shot ginger Syrup Shake hard with crushed ice, then strain through a sieve into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist, which has had its oils squeezed onto the surface of the drink. The Cullinan Cocktail 1 1/2 shots Cherry Bourbon 1 shot Pineapple Juice 1/4 shot fresh lime juice 1/4 shot Ginger Syrup (monin) Shake with ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. no garnish.   17. apparently up to 2 per cent of a vodka can be anything, and doesn't have to be listed as an ingredient. sugar and gycerine are two of them. must look for more information. George
  18. Hi Beans!!! Holy Cow indeed, it appears I have been a member since 8th August 2003. I just don't remember signing up. I used a Ginger Vodka at Akbar Moksh 1 1/2 shot Ginger infused Vodka 1/2 shot Ginger Syrup 1/2 shot Apple Liqueur 3/4 shot Fresh Lemon Juice 3 Basil Leaves 2 nails of Ginger root Muddle the basil and ginger root, in the bottom of a shaker then add the other ingredients. Add ice, then shake and strain through a sieve into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a basil leaf. I forgot to list Date infused rum, that was okay to taste. Cheers! George
