My first post, having only found this forum recently...

Sorting out a bottle of fizz to be in our hotel first night of honeymoon.

We like Ruinart/Billecart-Salmon styles, but they're not available at the hotel. Their choices are:

Gosset NV Bt 2,900

Taittinger NV Bt 7,300

Moet NV Bt 7,500

Dom 93 Bt 13,000

With service and tax, that's around £55 for the Gosset up to £250 for the Dom.

I can see that Dom is 75% more expensive than Moet nv, but what are people's views on the Gosset being less than half the price of Taittinger/Moet ?

I don't think that I've ever had Gosset, but I understood it to be okay - do people think that 2 bottles of that should do the trick ? :unsure:
