Okay, I posted this under the wrong topic. So I will repeat it here. I jsut had a kitchen remodel and have a new Subzero refrigerator. I am surprised to find it has just one long drawer for produce, with little movable dividers but no real separation between fruits and vegetables. It also has no meat drawer, so presumably meats are to go in there, too. What happened to keeping fruits separate from vegetables because they throw off gases that spoil the vegetables? Does Subzero have some technology I don't know about that makes this unnecessary?

Actually, I believe that what Subzero has is a good marketing department. The shallow interior can be convenient, but having a Subzero otherwise seems, to me, primarily a lifestyle statement. There isn't anything special about their technology. I've seen better technology, design, and features in fridges for a fraction of Subzero's lofty price.

Interesting. I have a Sub-zero and it has one long drawer plus 4 other drawers for fruits and veggies. I've had the unit for 8 years and needed pricey work 1x.

If I ever do another kitchen, I'm going commercial and buying refrigeration just as good (if not better) for a fraction of the price from Restaurant Depot.

This was does look 'pretty' though with the wooden inserts to match our cabinets.
