I loved the videos. I think they capture both Paul's and Jeffrey Steingarten's spirit of playfullness and fun without sacrificing the food itself. The mouse poop element was great tongue-n-cheek. I think that it was probably ad-libbed by Paul with a great pick-up by Jeffrey.

Yes, I thought so too, 'doc.

If you combine the info from the mag and the vids you see a friendly grump of Steingarten and as Jeffrey said himself, a confident yet eager to please his client Paul Liebrandt.

Nice stuff, humanizing stuff...

Well done!

Anyone want to earn an easy $500? Eater is currently offering that sum to anyone who can produce the address and an interior photo (cell-phone shot acceptable) of Liebrandt's new restaurant.

Eater recounts the abundant evidence that Liebrandt surely is planning a restaurant that would open sometime in the fall. But all attempts at confirming it have failed, and "Frankly, it's driving us mildly insane."

What's happening with his website?

Takes you to a weird place, maybe a departure for the new place?
