Of course one does not buy wines like Yquem if value is the concern, but at the price I've found it (about $220/75cl), I thought it may be a good purchase to save for a special occaision years in the future. I mentioned its rarity only in respect to noting how hard it is to find opinions on it.
So let me ask the question another way: given that I can buy the 2000 (relatively) very cheaply, do you think it makes sense to, or should I just stick with vintages that are known to be excellent?
By the way, do we have a lot of sweet wine drinkers here? I haven't seen too many discussions on them. ...
