Quail scotch egg with tomato and the last of the pickle I smuggled into China from the UK in the summer.

I followed a recipe from the NYT for Beans & Garlic Toast with Broth and put a fried duck egg on top. This recipe throws Parm rinds in with the cooking beans so the broth is extra tasty.

The bread is sliced rosemary baguette so for the herbal note, I used a drizzle of rosemary and garlic-infused olive oil instead of the fresh marjoram specified in the recipe.

@blue_dolphin, Thank you for including the link to the recipe.  This is something that Moe would love.   Looks delicious.

@CantCookStillTry,  Thank you.  I showed your comment to Moe. 😁

Buttermilk Biscuits this morning.  Often I use heavy cream to make my biscuits because I usually can't find full fat buttermilk.  Local grocery stores seem to only have the 1%.  But yesterday I

found the 3.25% so today's biscuits were buttermilk.

Served with last night's dinner this morning for breakfast.  We never got around to eating it last night.   Chicken in a mushroom cream sauce with mashed potatoes.

My former boss advised following this maxim:  "When traveling, eat early and eat often," when on business travel.

@Duvel may be following the corollary that applies to drink

Not quite. Is was a pre-lunch experiment to test the consistency of the bar staff ... alas, the second Old Fashioned was presented in a slightly different manner (and with!teo cherries). They get full points anyway, as each rendition got bigger ...

My problem is that I eat often in general. And yes, it applies to drink as well ☺️

Sad, sad egg and cheddar sandwich. I did not make it. I bought it on vacation. The coffee shop was called Fuel and I guess it served that purpose.

That reminds me of signs I've seen on road trips:

"EAT HERE, GET GAS"

and

"DIESEL FRIED CHICKEN"

hmmm....like...what's wrong with the eggs? they look kinda nice to me. Was the yolk over-done? I couldn't tell from the surface pic.

But no high heat sear on the outside so maybe protein came out okay too?
