You got off cheap.  I went through the checkout just now as a test and they wanted to charge me $50.31 for FedEx Home.  I would contact them.  Maybe the same person who wrote the app does the checkout pages.

There might well be free shipping.  The FAQ says so.  Ask.

There is something wrong with this page.

For Greece, it states 22 Euros, but if I go and order one, the price goes up to 89.54 Euros for GLS and 170.61 for DHL.

Very sad.

The FAQ still shows free shipping.

Tonight when I got home from work alexa called my son.  What I asked her to do was turn on the lights.  I'm not super sure I want alexa in charge of my dinner preparation.

I'm sure by now there's an Alexa equivalent to "damn you, autocorrect!" on the Web. :P

Mystery.  I set the APO to 135C, bottom element, no steam, no fan.  Yet the fan was running.  Why?

Tried it twice.

Was it preheating? My Electrolux oven turns the fan on while preheating and then off when it reaches temp.

Thanks, that could be the answer.  The oven was preheating.

I toasted some English muffins using the preprogramed toast recipe.  They were not as dark as I would like.  I'm sure this could be remedied by an extra minute of top heat.  Unfortunately I don't know how to edit an anova recipe and I've not yet tried programming my own recipes.

no resolution of Shipping Charges yet ?

I received an 'auto reply' from Anova yesterday that acknowledged my question/request but said they were running behind -- but still had me in the queue to be answered.

More on English muffins:  after the first three minutes of the APO toast recipe I pressed stop and then pressed start again.  Simple low tech solution.

Anyone else experiencing signs of warping on their water reservoir? I had one tank replaced, and I fear my second tank is developing signs of warping/cracking as well. It’s mainly in the front left upper corner of the tank. 😕

Thankfully here so far so good.  That plastic is pretty thick.

I truly understand that the FAQ provides "free shipping", but this applies only to the Precision Cooker + accessories. The 1st paragraph explicitly states " Alaska and Hawaii have a small additional shipping charge. "
All of our orders coming from Alaska and Hawaii are bounded and paid the shipping fees as far as the Oven is concerned.

We also have a column on the shipping information sheet that says the Oven is excluded from free shipping. Sorry if that all the shipping information was confusing.

Hope you understand.

guess the first orders were free , then they changed to a charge that was buried in the fine print.

too bad.

All along I knew that there was an extra charge for shipping to Hawaii -- I was in discussions with them in October on the amount for that vs. WA shipping which was, at that time, free for the oven. When I recently asked Anova (via the link on the shipping page) the item with three *** was NOT on that page (I have a screenshot from the time I asked the question). The *** item has now been added (without a reference source on that page, I would note), around the time I received this reply which was specifically asking about MAINLAND shipping (not Hawaii shipping).
