  1. We had decided to go to the Petite Cafe. Their menu was very interesting - I get it mailed to me. The first course was Nuevo Latino - Baby Lamb Chop with Star Anise, Serrano wrapped Prawn, and my favorite the Malango Pancake. The second course was Nuovo Italiano. Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Sun-Dried Tomato Marinara and Garlic Custard (this was so creamy) it was like nothing I ever had. Main course Novelle Franciase - you had your choice of Filet Mignon with Rocquefort, Skate with Pistachio's and Lemon (my husband had this and loved it), I had the Chicken with a Porcini and Black Truffle. I did not need dessert after this I was already in heaven Dessert was New American an Apple Cobbler with Cranberry (there was also a few other fruit and goodies (the chef would give away) with Cinnamon ice cream.
  2. Okay - I am still trying to find out what ratings these two restaurants got - - the reviews seem decent - but how many stars did they get??
  3. Do they not rate them with stars any more - sometimes I see them sometimes I do not - and when the review is indecisive I like to see a rating.
  4. I just drove passed the old Bella Napoli location on Bloomfield Ave and saw that it reopened on Sept. 30th. What is going on?? I thought they moved to Broad St., I have not had a chance to go to the new location yet - did something happen?
  5. I am sorry if I am repeating this post. But I happened to be going through some of the older posts last week. I noticed the Petite Cafe, I was not sure which paper it was - so I started checking them all out. The Bergen Record really gave it a nice review - Three Stars. I live in Clifton - and it really intrigued me to check it out. It is a small cafe - but I do think they are going to have to expand. The food had such flavor and imagination. It was great chit chatting with the couple next to us. I had the Halibut with Lobster Mashed Potatoes and my significant other had the Meditterribean (I'm not sure of the spelling - it is a combo of Meditterean and Carribean spices. It was magnificant. I have to say Annie Terhune - did not like the chocolate cake - I happened to think it was delightful. I am so happy I have found such a fun and eceletic restaurant. How come the only way I found out about this - was through this forum??
