  1. Too bad is right. I had been away for a few weeks and stopped in at the bar before having dinner. The entire menu has changed and in my opinion, not for the better. The bartender told me the owner decided to return to something similar to the menu from the former Meyersville Inn from the nineties. Quite frankly, it looks like a diner menu with some faux cajun items. Blackened this and that, with a few tired italian american dishes thrown in for good measure. Chicken parm, chicken marsala, etc. It made the Ginty's menu seem more appealing if such a thing is possible. The last meal I had there a few weeks ago was a wonderfull cassoluet. The menu was seasonal and changed with ingredients that were available at any particular time of year. This I was told by different servers over the last few months, and it was true. Faced with this new Calabria chain type menu I decided not to have dinner. There was a new sign outside that read: casual dining pub fare happy hour. Sorry, but not why I went there.
  2. It's a little far to go for me, but Zagat has a few member reviews here: http://www.zagat.com/verticals/PropertyDet...?VID=8&R=114542 It must be new, because there are just a few reviews and Zagat still has questions marks under "Food Decor Service Cost" ← some recent information from this board in october http://forums.egullet.org/index.php?showto...&hl=meyersville
  3. I had dinner there this week. Quite a change from Ginty's. White table cloths with paper instead of the bare tables and placemats. Extensive wine selection by the glass bottle and half bottle. I had the Gruner Veltliner to start. I decided on the prix fixe 3 course dinner. Started with a mix green salad properly seasoned and not overdressed. Main was a coq au vin lots of flavor. Cabernet Franc from Anjou with that. If you're a fan of top chef you may be offended that it's made with chicken instead of rooster. I wasn't Desert was schafenburger sp? pot du creme. Pure chocolate goodness. Service was professional and attentive without being stuffy. My waiter spent more time talking to a table near mine but it sounded like they were regulars. Finally this place has got it right.
