Too bad is right. I had been away for a few weeks and stopped in at the bar before having dinner. The entire menu has changed and in my opinion, not for the better. The bartender told me the owner decided to return to something similar to the menu from the former Meyersville Inn from the nineties. Quite frankly, it looks like a diner menu with some faux cajun items. Blackened this and that, with a few tired italian american dishes thrown in for good measure. Chicken parm, chicken marsala, etc. It made the Ginty's menu seem more appealing if such a thing is possible. The last meal I had there a few weeks ago was a wonderfull cassoluet. The menu was seasonal and changed with ingredients that were available at any particular time of year. This I was told by different servers over the last few months, and it was true. Faced with this new Calabria chain type menu I decided not to have dinner. There was a new sign outside that read: casual dining pub fare happy hour. Sorry, but not why I went there.
