  1. Thats so funny, I just got off the phone with them. I saw a picture on citysearch and I thought it looked familiar. Unfortunately the phone conversation left both me and the person on the other end so confused that we both just conceded to hang up. Thank you so much, I guess I will have to just go there to know for sure!
  2. I went to a Korean BBQ in Queens last year, and I can't seem to find it again! I believe it was on Northern Blvd, closer to Bayside than Flushing (I think). It was in the middle of a small strip mall with parking in the rear. I know there was a karaoke place next door. The raw meat was set up in a buffet style. You brought the meat back to your seat and cooked it on your table-grille. Please if anyone has any clue what I'm talking about, let me know!!!!!!!!
  3. Sometimes, no matter how hard one tries to rebel against conventionality, a person can find themselves in a position where eating out on “amateur night” becomes a necessity (i.e. at the very beginning of a relationship, perhaps with a European au pair). In this case, the solution is simple. Go small. Use it as an excuse to finally check out the tiny 20 seat little nook around the corner. I’m not quite sure why today’s posts are filled with disgruntled foodies who know full well what February 14th holds in store for them at their favorite hotspots. As I have said, which I’m quite aware is not a revelation, securing a reservation at a cozy spot with a decent menu is absolutely the way to go. Its far more romantic than any of the biggies, and will be much less likely to alter the menu or change their prices. As far as service goes, you can be assured that you will get the same dedicated, but super slow service you can find any other night. Let the public have one night and you just enjoy the rest of the year, and just revel in the fact that they’re getting screwed.
  4. You might want to try Rai Rai Ken. Its a great/cheap little Noodle Shop on 10th between 1st and 2nd, in a cute "artsy" type neighborhood.
  5. FoodandBeveragecatalogue.com have it on there- Angelina Hot Chocolate. $39
  6. I think its called Bliss Hot Chocolate, and its actually a French company. It is very popular all over Europe! I know they have posters in their packaging. Not sure how to buy it...
