  1. Currently enjoying New Belgium's 1554.....dark........toasty.........malty.........yuummmmm.
  2. Product of the Netherlands Blended and bottled by The Origine Rum Company Imported by Origine Distilleries USA Novato, CA I purchased it in an Albertson's grocery store.
  3. I recently encountered this rum while browsing the shelves at a local store. It was completely unknown to me and I decided to give it a try. It is from the Netherlands and proclaims itself an "Amber Estate Reserve". "A blend of 7 craftsman distilled rums, featuring those from centuries old estates, from Demerara and the islands of Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad." I have found it to be light, smooth, sweet, and mellow. Very enjoyble neat and mixing well with tonic. I have been unable to find anything about it online and am wondering if anyone else has ecountered it and what you thought of it.
  4. "moosnsqrl"......Rocky and Bulwinkle?
  5. Sam Adam's Oktoberfest!
  6. Tough question to answer, especially since there are a number of excellent brew pubs in town, but I keep coming back to Sam Adams Boston Ale.
  7. For me, I always taste a new rum with about 2 ounces in the bottom of an 8 oz. snifter. Want to get the full aroma before the taste. Afterwards, a tall 12 oz chimney full of ice, 2 oz rum, and fill with tonic. Brings out a lot of softened characteristics and adds a little sweetness.
