I recommend to anyone who will listen LAZY SUNDAE in Clarendon. Two doors down from Faccia Luna. I have tried some of the others recommened in this thread, and believe Lazy Sundae to be superior to all.

Late night in DC, I'm heading to Adams Morgan -- which isn't too terribly far from Cleveland Park. LEFTBANK & The Diner in Adams Morgan are open late. Diner is 24 Hours. LEFTBANK (in the old Cities location) has the kitchen open until 2. Don't know what other kitchens in Adams Morgan are open that late. There are probably others.
