  1. Is this on Ridge Rd almost to Route 3?  Across from the Shell station?  I noticed they had scaffolding up on the facade of the building today...

Yeah I think it's the second or third store after the apartment building, across from the Shell station.

  2. What is the address please?  Do you have a link?  Thanks.  (for Carlstadt not Hoboken!)

It's actually in Hasbrouck Heights. 125 Route 17 South, where the old Ground Round used to be. I think there's a Volvo dealer across the street. They also share the building with a Maggie Moo's ice cream place.

I prefer Chipotle's burritos myself, but I can only get them in the city.

  3. People have nothing better to do than complain. Maybe they would prefer their main strip of commerce become deserted so they can have some peace and quiet. Is it the fault of commerce that these people moved next to an intersection of basically two highways? It's like those people who move next to a school and then complain that the kids make too much noise, well then why did you move there stupid.

I live in Lyndhurst and the garbage dumps are about 2 miles from my house but in the summer the whole town reeks, I'd kill a man to have it smell like bagels or hot dogs instead.

  4. Of course, now I want to know where in Paramus they're getting 77K sf!  Hopefully it's not what's being squeezed in to the intersection of 17 and 4...anyone know?

I think a Bed, Bath, and Beyond and a Sports Authority is what's being built next to IKEA. I think I read in the record the other day that Whole Foods is going to be in the new Bergen Mall when it's done, along with a Target and Century 21 department store.

  5.   I wish there was a shake shack in NJ but i defininetly would settle for a In 'n Out or Jack in the box franchise around here.  Really miss the double double from in 'n out and the sour dough jack burger in Cali.

I had Jack In The Box when I was in Seattle and it was so good I almost want to take a trip to Ohio just to get it. The Red Robin on Route 3 in Clifton also has great burgers, we got food from there 4 nights in a row last week.

  6. Your call, but I've read and heard that although the ownership changed, the staff hadn't.

From what I know they've used an outside company for years to make most of their desserts, a place called Elegant Desserts, I see the trucks there all the time. Mazur owns it I believe though so I guess technically he still makes the cakes at Mazurs.

  7. Anyone know anything about Willie's Diner off Bloomfield on...  ummm, can't remember the name of the street.  In Bloomfield across the street from Sacred Heart church.  Blessed Sacrement?

I believe the cross street is State St. I've eaten there a few times, they have good breakfast. I prefer the Nevada on Broad St. for any type of dinner though, I had a burger at Willie's once and it wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either.

  8. I believe that NJ Supermarkets, if they sell beer/liquor, must do so as an entirely separate entity (which is why many supermarkets have "(supermarket name here) Liquors" set up either next store to the actual supermarket (often with a doorway connecting them) OR as an entirely separate area of the store.  Often this liquor store next to the supermarket isn't actually owned by the supermarket and is rented out to a private individual.

The A&P on Route 46 in West Paterson sells beer, wine and liquor within the supermarket, I've never seen that anywhere else in the state before.
