bluestem: The new and improved - Kansas City

Recommended Posts

Slightly belated announcement but it's gazpacho martini season in the lounge at bluestem and, if that weren't incentive enough, there are some amazing picked veg (grown by the usual suspects: Crums, Thane Palmberg to name 2) that are also worth a trip. Wonderful flavor, not pucker-inducing like they are at too many places. Loving the okra and fennel most of all!

I was sitting at l'Atelier in Las Vegas on Friday night, thoroughly disappointed by the desserts at the end of my tasting menu (the rest of the meal was amazing). And seriously, all I could think about was Megan's deconstructed carrot cake. (Well, that and how expensive Bluestem would be if you moved it to the strip.)

I'm going to have to come in for dessert like ASAP.

I take it, then, that the current menu(s) online are outdated? No deconstructed carrot cake on there currently.
