Chiffon cakes in non-tube pans?

I've never tried baking a chiffon cake in a springform (as opposed to tube) pan, but would like to try it this weekend.  Does anyone have a chiffon formula that will reliably withstand such treatment?

TIA!

I don't know if this will help but i baked a chiffon cake in a regular 10" pan with success. I did put a decorating tip wrapped in alumunium foil in the middle of the cake .

I've baked chiffon cakes in regular cake pans with great success as well. Using a pan with sides taller than your cake will be lets you invert the pan while it cools.
