if this is the one in Boston in october (as mentioned by the previous post) I went about 2 years ago.

MAKE SURE TO TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OR A CAB AFTERWARDS

thank god I did, because the beer was flowing and well I pretty much tried to sample as much as I could. Stock up on all the free coasters and eat before you get there because the food wasn't that good there...when I was there they served something like pretzels and belgian waffles.

I don't think you're talking about the same event. As far as I know, this is the second year they are doing it. 2005 was the first time.

The food is supposedly pretty good, but I'll let you know.

As for avoiding driving, that should be taken care of because the hotel is either walking distance or a very very short drive away. If there is any driving, my wife will do it. (even if it is less than two miles.)
