Beautiful photos ulterior epicure.

Added to my ever growing list of resolutions for 2006:

1) Figure out how to post photos.

2) Dine in more restaurants/cook food worthy of photographing.

Inside me there is a thin woman screaming to get out, but I can usually keep the Bitch quiet: with CHOCOLATE!!!

Great images, indeed.

Looking at your restaurant visits, you have hit a couple impressive restaurants in western Europe. I would also like to hear more about Restaurant Dieter Muller and Hof van Cleve. I also noticed that you went and had the white truffles at Mosconi. I was there a couple of months ago and would love to hear your comments on the place (in the appropriate section, of course).

For the risotto.

ahhh... but i remember that box all too well... and madame mosconi shaving to everyone's olfactory delight! alas, i did not order anything off of the white truffle menu - but got plenty of free smells!!

you may read my comments on this and other restaurants that you ask about on my blog soon.

I've printed out vertually every dessert photograph you posted, to study and remember. Then, darn it, you got me completely hooked into your blog (and I rarely find interest in savory discussion). I've been reading for hours now and can't stop......my eyes are so tired I can't see straight, but I'll be back asap. I can't wait to finish reading every word, every review. Where will you dine next?

I'm going to need more, please.

Amazing, totally wonderful pictures! We are not worthy... :raz: I'm adding to "My Pictures" a total range of your gorgeous porn (where's the droolie smilie whe you need it?) My boss is a food person, too, and he stops by my desk regularly to see what I have as a screen saver now. Thanks for the hard work!

while uploading my pictures from cafe trio (kansas city), i happened onto their website - which said that they are closed until february 6 for "winter holiday." is that a euphamistic term for closure?

If you look at it again, it's from 01.29.06 until 02.06.06 so I wouldn't worry, they are probably actually going on holiday. They'll have closed the books from '05 and can plan to close (i.e. taking care of inventories, etc.) would be my guess.

Yes, I'm a pastry Chef. I live out in the burbs of Chicago and rarely travel and even less rarely do I eat at fine dinning restaurants. Sooooo your work has been highly educational to me, it's a chance to see what others are doing with a real review on it's taste. I absorb as much as I can thru books and magazines..........but your work fills in the voids, shows me the real life plated dessert as if I had been there myself.

wendy.

great to know! can you recommend any good dessert places in/around chicago? the only dessert specialty establishment i've visited is hot chocolate. (sorry, i don't have pictures).

as for speciatly dessert bars, which seem like "the new rage" in many areas, i've been wanting to get to chikalicious in n.y. as well, i want to kick myself for not having visited espai sucre while i was in barcelona a couple of months ago.
