I LOVE this thread, am loving the photos of the food, the photos of the folks...

and wondering when i'm getting back to new orleans. not soon enough i think.....

when i was there about a year ago i had some course-milled grits that blew my socks off, with lots of tasso i think in it (commanders palace). i have been buying grits ever since, whenever i'm in the usa and have never come up with anything that good...not yet......mind you i have no tasso either though am awash with italian prosciutto most of the time.
