Paris Restaurants

I'm still working on a list for our two weeks in Paris this summer. I've come across several places that sound good from one source or another, but information seems limited on them. If anyone has tried any of them, I would greatly appreciate any feedback. They are, in no particular order: Thierry Burlot, Le Café Press (which also seems to be known as Press Cafe), Le Cosi (the Corsican in the 5th- not the sandwich place in the 6th), Le Petrelle, Le Mesturet, La Marsangy, La Maison Courtine, Le Grastroquet, L'Astree, Le Beudant, Epicure 108, Graindorge, Cafe Moderne, and L'Argenteuil. I'm happy to share the list, for what it's worth, with anyone who sends me a message.

I ate at L'Argenteuil a couple of years ago. The food was good and new style French but it did not excite. I don't remember what we ate. It was a pretty restaurant, service was efficeient but it did not have thet wow factor for lack of a better word. There are much more exciting retaurants.

Paris is a mood...a longing you didn't know you had, until it was answered.

I have to agree on Thierry Burlot, coincidentally we had lunch there today...very attractive with upholstered barrel chairs, good spacing between the tables, and a pleasant and knowledgeable wait staff. We had the "menu decouverte" for €32. There was a €6 supplement for the langoustines roti, but they were worth it. My only criticism was the wine list could have been gentler price-wise, e.g., Coteaux de Languedoc Pic St. Loup way in excess of €100.

Monday night we went to Le Gastroquet and had the menu degustation for €49 which we felt was very reasonable for the 7 or 8 small plates served. Dany Bulot is still at the top of his form; he was the chef at Benoit during its glory days, but he and his gracious wife have been in this attractive little out of the way spot for about 12 years.
