I'm like a nut case, giggling over this at odd moments. My 3-yr old keeps asking me, "What's so funny?"

For the benefit of those who don't know chinese.

:smile: -side:

Da Niu = name of the lucky brother

bi jiao = more (compared to)

lan = lazy

i.e. Da Niu is more lazy

:cool: -side:

da = big

niu = cow

bi = compare to

The other 2, you know already, :blush: is bigger than a cow's!

Pssst...we should be so lucky we don't have a forum host/police.

Never heard of those!  Are they specific to HK or the West Coast?

That's neat.

This one is for you, Gastro888.

You said you have never heard of "Dan San". Here is a picture of it:

This picture is for you! I remember way back when you mentioned you did not know what the snack "prawn rolls" look like. Here it is. A package of small prawn rolls, US$1.25.

What are the ingredients in the prawn rolls?

Minced dried shrimp (they called it prawn) mostly + seasoning. I would imagine MSG + salt kind of thing. The rolls are deep-fried. Tastes good. I like it a lot.

I just bought this pack of peanuts. The package read "Roasted peanuts with garlic". I have never tasted one before. Tonight I opened the package and tasted some. The peanuts tasted great! These peanuts, which are still inside the shells, are full of garlic flavor. It's amazing how they managed to make the garlic flavor infiltrated through the shells!
