Mrs. Busboy + Mr. Busboy too, please

We couldn't have an eG event without you two (unless it was girls night out of course  ). You're there, at the bottom, supporting the rest of the list.

We've got room for about 20 more so don't be shy.

I thinkChef took control and made it the 21st-- a veritable vernal equinox celebration.

er--no.

chef initially said the 7th was best, and we promptly got 20-some responses saying yes to the 7th. Then, a couple days later, chef OFFERED the 21st if that would work better after all--which was very kind--but with a lengthy RSVP list already in place, we decided to leave it right where it was, on the 7th.

this place breeds enough chaos as it is. :).

Don could you remove this post to cut down on the confusion?

Thanks!

Don-- could you also move the autumnal (not the vernal, that's spring!) equinox to the 7th? The 21st just won't work for me.

[Postings removed about the wrong date per request of the group - sorry, very busy today and no time to contact individual posters]

But remember, it's on the ...

7th!

7th!

7th!

7th!

7th!

7th!

7th!

All I can say is, after the last two days I've had... this food had better be good. Otherwise, I'm leaving town on the first stagecoach.

Cheers,

Rocks.

I think I can safely say that there is no need to start packing. And especially after the last few days, I have the feeling Chef is going to be sure you don't leave town!!!

Sigh, this work thing gets in the way of my eG time. I missed all the excitement. Sigh

Ummm Rocks, have you rsvp'd?

The final menu is still being worked out but with tax and tip, but not including wines it will be about $40. We are still figuring out how to do the wine and will keep you posted. Babka and I decided to use Paypal, so when we figure out whose account to send the $ to you we will let you know.

jpw, do you think the misses will be up to joining us? Would you like us to see if you can take home dinner to her? You owe her a lot of extra diaper changings if you make it to 2 eG events without her

Okay folks, we are up to 40. If you are interested let us know now or you will be SOL. babka and I are trying to work on a surprise guest or two just to keep you guessing.

As for the menu, if anyone has any food allergies please let me or babka know ASAP! Otherwise, we are keeping it under wraps but from the looks of it so far you will not be disappointed. My mouth is already watering.

I also need to know about the maybes in the group. You have until the 31st to let us know.

I'm in.  Has the time been set, and I missed it?  I know it's the 7th of September.

I think Chef Gillian preferred 7:30.

Is anyone interested in perhaps checking out John W.'s wine happy hour before hand?

I could be coerced.

I would like the following wines for, say..., $5 a glass:

'94 Coulee de Serrant

'95 de Vogue Musigny

'89 Chave Hermitage

Is that doable Mr Wabeck?

No.

Maybe $50 the glass.

Thank you John. Those of us that decide on some fortification before whitening the doorway of CK appreciate it in advance.
