Went to the Indo Pakistani buffet today. Superb. Really enjoyed the tabouleh, pates, and coconut shrimp curry. We'll definitely keep this on our list for potential future lunches.

Glad you enjoyed yourselves, kayswv. Thanks for visiting!

We'll be running most of this menu again in four weeks, so anybody who missed out this time around can catch it again in mid August.

Just got the menus emailed to me today. At the bottom it says 'Tuesday - Friday'. Does this mean that these menus are going to be served on Friday as well or is it still the buffet?

Most women don't seem to know how much flour to use so it gets so thick you have to chop it off the plate with a knife and it tastes like wallpaper paste....Just why cream sauce is bitched up so often is an all-time mytery to me, because it's so easy to make and can be used as the basis for such a variety of really delicious food.

Should still be the buffet. I'll double check tomorrow just to make sure and will post again, but I know people have been discussing the buffet for Friday today.

Pat

Thanks Pat. Also, is the One World menu going to be carried over to next week or will there be something new?

Friday is definitely buffet lunch, and menus for Tuesday - Thursday of next week for both Square One and One World will remain the same as well.

Got clarification on next week's service. The latest menus posted above are actually over, my apologies if I crushed anyone's expectations and lunch plans.

What we will be doing on Tuesday November 9, and Wednesday November 10 is a Taste of the Academy small plates service. The variety to choose from is extensive, both 3rd quarter and 4th quarter are participating, and each student (with the occasional student pair team) is making one dish. On our end (3rd quarter), that's around 20 different small plate choices international in scope.

Pricing will be based on a ticket system, where each dish will be x number of tickets (1-4), and tickets will be .75 each.

We will be closed for Veteran's Day Thursday November 11, and Friday November 12 in order to prepare for the 2004 Harvest Dinner on Saturday.

Thanks for supporting us.

The French and Thai menus are supposedly back on for Tues-Thurs, Nov. 16-18. And the email from SCCC says one can make reservations for "COD exercises," which I can only guess is some sort of calisthenics offered after eating too much at SCCC. :raz:

Yes, they are indeed back!

As to COD, that's the Chef of the Day projects done by the graduating quarter. Each 5th quarter student is Chef of the Day of one of the two restaurants during the final two weeks of the quarter, so there will be new menus every day during that time.

Not all of them are open to the public, it depends on the student. Some of them like to keep it a small affair. Best thing to do is to call up SCA and ask what's available. No calisthenics required.

This week and next week are Chef of the Day projects from our graduating quarter. The menus in both restaurants change every day, and they are also reservation only. If anyone is interested in attending a COD lunch, please give the SCA office a call, and they can let you know what's available the next two weeks: 587-5424

The exception is this and next Friday, where we run our buffet. All you can eat for $8. Thanks for supporting us.

Also, if anyone is interested in attending a Chef of the Day project, tomorrow's bistro COD is open to the public.

Thanks for all your support.
