My time is up, and to the fire I fling

Some other Dude to carry on this thing.

And...I suggest you use prose. The blog is much more detailed and interesting that way.

Soba? Sam? I think it's tommy's turn.

snowangel's pretty good at this rhyming jazz too -- maybe the next blog should be hers?

Either hers or NeroW's, as well.

Or someone outside of the U.S. -- for example, I'm sure people would be interested in hearing how people in the UK eat, for example. Marmite on toast, anyone?

A couple of suggestions, if I may:

1. The current blogger has the right to suggest a pool group of people from whom the next poster shall spring forth. (hm, must be a poetry bug. heheh.)

2. The pool group can theoretically consist of any member, but is preferable if someone or a group of someones from posters to the current blog thread are chosen. Anyone can volunteer, just as anyone is free to decline.

Comments, please.

Maggie before your foodblog is made Beyond Comment I hasten to put in:  I was and remain ABSOLUTELY FLABBERGASTED!!! And I mean that in the BEST possible sense.

I am really, truly flattered, Style Czarina. Thank you.

Hah! I had been thinking that too.

Perhaps blank verse is more suitable?

I thought blank verse was iambic pentameter.

(Or is this some cruel English-major joke on tommy?)

Blank verse is unrhymed. Much easier.

Rhyming makes it a lot harder. Maggie's sonnets were damn impressive. Try writing one. It's hard. I know I couldn't approach that level of wit and poetic functionality in a sonnet. Just don't have it in me.

I'll do one, but be warned:

Most of my caloric consumption comes in the form of booze, or coffee.

Sometimes gum.

Noise is music. All else is food.

So . . . do I do it here, or get a room?

Get a room, baby.

The convention would seem to call for a thread called "Foodblog: NeroW"

Perhaps with the subtitle "Not the violin guy... the other one."

He never played the violin in any of the Rex Stout series that I read.
