Someone mentioned liverwurst and bread & butter pickes a week or so ago and flooded my memory banks with those combinations of flavors. What are some nice, classic combinations that have withstood the tests of food trends?

Fish & cucumbers

Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs

Pork & apples (fruit in general)

Apples & cheddar
