Question Regarding Tequila in a Pie

Very quick question.  I'm making @Darienne's Margarita Pie and the recipe calls for gold tequila.  I only have silver.  We are not big tequila drinkers, so would it be alright to use the silver?  Thanks!

I would think silver is fine, it's only 2 TB and the subtle differences would be masked by all the sugar and lime juice anyway.

Agree, substituting silver for gold (tequila), esp. in that amount (2 Tbsp.), is fine. No worries.

Honestly, it will probably be an improvement - I'd guess the "gold" tequila in question is not "Añejo" or "Reposado", but "Cuervo".

Go for it.  I have no idea which tequila I used.  I'm not much of a drinker at all and so I would have used whatever I had on hand...probably brought by the American visitors who come each summer to the Dog Weekend, where we drink Slushy Margaritas.  Yumm.  Once a year.
