I bought some Sachimi Tako, is it cooked? (Pic inside)

Recommended Posts

Hi

I went to a Japanese grocery store here in Atlanta and bought some Tako (Octopus). I went online to do some research and read that often Tako sachimi is boiled. is mine raw or boiled?

If raw, is it ok to eat like that nigiri style or shall I boil it?

Still learning sorry.

That looks boiled then frozen  to me.  I've found sashimi octopus in my local Korean market and  it has been cooked.  Really, you can tell by examining it.  if it is gooey and translucent, it's raw.  If you slice it and it is white and solid, it's cooked.
