Canning a product with butter in it

I think as long as you have enough sugar there should be a way.  Jarred caramel sauces are pretty common, I don't know at what point enough sugar makes up for it being low-acid.  And milk products including ghee are canned so I don't think the butter itself is a problem.  Looks like Trader Joe's ghee comes in a plastic jar, I doubt they're pressure-canning that!
