Sourdough

I happened to spot my sourdough starter while digging around in the fridge for something.

It's been there a while but I brought it out and will start resurrecting it today.  It may take a number of feedings to get it going good again since it's been put away for quite a long time.

FWIW, I  usually make the KA recipe for crumpets (scaled 50%) once or twice a week to use up my extra starter.  My results don't look the same as the picture on the KA site, but I enjoy them.

Good luck! I went through a big sourdough phase but then I got super bad morning sickness with a pregnancy and couldn’t even look at my starter for a year. I cry when I think of all that hard work down the drain. Happy baking!
