Lunch at the food hall was outrageously priced - so we found a bistro

This is not an appropriate thread to read before breakfast. I'm starving. And I just got back from a debauch of eating on the Gulf Coast and in New Orleans.

Beautiful food!

what are the 4 rows of square pastries ?

something savory ?

@rotuts, If it's these you were asking about, they caught my eye, too!

I can just make out the little signs (below, right to left) and find them all very appealing, save for the prices!  Maybe they are large enough for more than one serving?

Rather than take this completely off-topic, let’s discuss further here.

Chateau des d'Yquem and Chateau de Fargues - years back to 2006 - anywhere from 150 Euro to 950 Euro.

The one in question was a Kenwood. And it says it can do to 180º C.

@Kerry Beal wow, bloom in the good Paris shops too! Thank you for taking us with you.

It's everywhere! Half of the stuff that is there for demo purposes is bloomed - you would think they would change it regularly so it always looked pristine.

Fascinating journey.  Amazing food and items for purchase.  So out of my norm.   Hope you are really enjoying it, ChocDoc.  A lot of vicarious living is going on through your excellent posts.

If you look at the box under the counter it says Kenwood.  I am afraid, very afraid, as it was in one of Kerry's Paris travelogues I first saw the KitchenAid Precise Heat Mixing Bowl.

I was thinking that today - nothing as exciting as the mixing bowl this time!
