Was the disorganization typical for this event, do you know? Is it an event you would encourage others to attend? (Not asking for myself at all, just a general question for people who might be interested in attending.) :)

Apparently it has improved over the 7 years it's been running! I think it was a good venue for the folks selling chocolate.

Just had to share this - things we bought while away were a lot of items from various vendors for @Alleguede to test. For myself I brought back 4 truffles from CocaAndré and some bars from Xocalla - an EZtemper owner from the Houston area for Lisabeth at the Ultimately Chocolate Blog to evaluate.

Tony made sure I had one of these! His handcrafted gianduja with a whole lot of whole hazelnuts! I need to find a place to hide it from the hubby.

So here we are again - in the Air Canada Lounge awaiting our flight to Dallas. @Alleguede and I will have a table at the Dallas Chocolate Festival again this year.

My banner tested positive for explosives so I had the benefit of a strip search in security. Strangely - since @Alleguede was carrying my banner - but I'm the one who admitted to owning it - I'm the one who got searched not him. How much sense does it make that both of us didn't get searched?

US Customs and Border Protection does not include an IQ test in their hiring process....

 

When you say 'strip search' - as in the literal meaning, or rather a 'pat down'???

 

Either way, sounds exciting!!

More of a pat down - carryon got strip searched - and they still missed the scalpel blades!

Ha! Los Angeles missed the knife (longer than "OK") in my son's CD case. It was a leftover forgotten from a backpacking trip. Hong Kong however caught & confiscated...

This mason jar thing should have come and gone years ago.

I suppose if they were reserved for moonshine it'd be less irritating.

 

For some reason  two other recent restaurant fads...serving plates on a 1/4 sheet pan and using side towels as napkins...don't irritate me me at all.

 

But then I like 1/4 sheet pans and side towels.
