Dinner ?

Yes, what you get on an airplane for dinner, even on long flights.

Left over spicy Korean noodles from noodle and company mixed with left over sautéed vegetables and reheated in CSO steam bale 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  Much nicer than the original dish.  Served with cold rose. Happy Friday to me.

Last two dinners were the same:  a big salad, fat free dressing and 100 grams of cooked shrimp.  This is about 250 calories.

Breakfast was tea and beef jerky. Lunch was the same sized salad but with one boiled egg instead of the shrimp.

I'm on the 2 - 5 diet .  We will see how it goes.

Tonight's unrestricted eating meal will be a healthy stir fry of chicken and pineapple with some broccoli/mushroom stir fry and 1/2 c of steamed rice.  Oh, and some Wine :D

Cherry smoked pulled pork shoulder, my own version of Piedmont, vinegar based BBQ sauce and coleslaw on burger buns. First time I have smoked pork with cherry, but not the last. We both loved it!

Prime dry aged NY strip.  Amazing how it continued cooking even after cutting.  Tasty and the wine was nice

I wouldn't know whether to eat that or hang it on the wall. Absolutely beautiful.

Keeping it simple. Stir-fried prawns with garlic, ginger and balcony-grown bird's eye chili pepper, a tickle of oyster sauce and asparagus and Chinese chives. Dusted with shichimi togarishi after I took the picture but before eating. With rice, of course.

It's been so hot here.  Ronnie's buddy invited him to go fishing at his place.  He came back with a mess of nice bass.

Nothing complex, Yorkshire pudding batter baked until puffed and set, filled with mushroom, onions, milk, cheese, flour (as for a quiche filling), baked further to set the filling and crisp the pudding crust.

Chinese takeaway from our local restaurant. They make a great chicken chow mein using whatever veggies are in season and cheap. This one had zucchini, green beans, cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts. I love their crunchy fried noodles, and we always get a large special fried rice - it has red cooked pork, prawns, chicken bits, egg and spring onions.

The previous night I zoomed off to the country house of a friend of a friend for a Himalayan cooking class. Details are tacked on to my "food tour through India" in the India dining section.

Instant Pot chicken congee, great stuff when you feel like crap. Just cant seem to shake this yuck I have, sticking to disposable tableware for me and bathing in hand sanitizer trying to prevent Chris from catching it. At least the congee was good!

A bit like me, she'll never win prizes for her looks, the old Singaporean oyster omelette.

I've finally perfected my preferred ratio of crispy:gooey, too. Tapioca starch, rice starch, potato starch, white pepper, soy sauce, a swirled egg, heaps of chilli and delicious fat, briny oysters.
