Sorry for the double post but I thought I would provide a link for the Olney cookbook previously mentioned a short while ago in this discussion. It's currently still on sale in the US Amazon.

As usual, I am a US Prime member so your price might vary.

Richard Olney's "Simple French Food" Kindle Edition $2.99US

Amazon.ca has the Kindle version of  The Elements of Pizza by Ken Forkish on for $2.99.

As does amazon.com. Forkish's first book, Flour Water Yeast Salt, is also at that price.

Grabbed it, thanks.  I went to amazon to search for it...turns out it was the first thing on my recommended list.  Creepy.

Here's the link to one of Ken Forkish's books (when you get to the Amazon page linked, click on his name to get to his Amazon page where you will find a link to his other book that is on sale):

Ken Forkish's "Flour Water Salt Yeast: The Fundamentals of Artisan Bread and Pizza" Kindle Edition $2.99US

And this next link is technically not a bargain basement price, but is one of the lowest Kindle prices I've seen for it in quite awhile:

Marcella Hazan's "Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking" Kindle Edition $6.99US

Note this is the combo book that culled recipes from two of her previous books.

Beard's stuff deserves resurrection.

Oh yes, I saw the post this morning and bought the book.  Could not resist.  I didn't reply to @Toliver because I'm terrified to encourage him.

Look away! Look away! xD

Thanks to my BookBub alert, this morning I saw this:

Michael Symon's "Carnivore: 120 Recipes for Meat Lovers" Kindle Edition $2.99US

He also has had this book (see below) listed for awhile. I was hesitant to post it since it wasn't priced as low as is usual for Kindle deals and it was one of the many hop-on-the-bandwagon of "30 minutes or less" themed cookbooks:

Michael Symon's "5 in 5: 5 Fresh Ingredients + 5 Minutes = 120 Fantastic Dinners" Kindle Edition $4.99US

Dang! I missed that deal! Ugh! :S

I am posting this because of the price and name of note involved, but please read the reviews before buying this book:

The New James Beard Kindle Edition $2.99US

Amazon seems to be taunting me. They've recently added Kindle cookbooks by Lidia Bastianich, Ina Garten, the "Momofuku," cookbook, Rose Levy Beranbaum (The Cake Bible), Johnny Iuzzini, "Emeril's Delmonico," Thomas Keller's "Ad Hoc at Home", Mark Bittman. "Epicurious 4-Fork Recipes", and so on.

Now if only they would come down in price! xD

The replacement product will have Chris Kimball's voice telling you it reached the point he thinks you should cook to, not what you programmed.

Supermarketitaly is having a 10% off sale this month if you order more than $100.  No special codes or coupon required.  My packages (plural) arrived today:

https://www.supermarketitaly.com/

Who would have thought pasta could be so heavy?  (The olive oil, duck fat, Luxardo cherries, and SAF yeast arrived in their own box.)

Out of curiosity, spurred by a discussion currently happening on the thread about whether ebook deals belong in their own topic, I did a price comparison between Kindle ebooks as listed on Amazon and the corresponding Apple ebooks as listed in the iBookstore.

The following were the same cheap price on both: Lucky Peach Power Vegetables ($3.99), Taste & Technique ($2.99), Flavorwalla ($2.99).

The following were cheap on Amazon but not at iBooks: Victuals ($1.99/$16.99), Big Bad Breakfast ($2.99/$15.99), All Under Heaven ($1.99/$19.99), Poole's ($1.99/$18.99).

Nothing I checked was cheaper on iBooks than on Amazon.

So, if you prefer a format for your ebooks other than Kindle, it may be worth checking to see if your preferred format has an equally good deal. If you use a non-dedicated reader, there's probably an app available for whatever your favorite file type is.

Aldi has 12 packs of Ball pint jars for $7.49 and wide-mouth quart jars for $9.99 listed in this week's advert.

I just stopped in an picked up a pack of each.

I don't think that's the lowest price ever but it's better than what's on offer at most of my local stores.

Edited to add that they were a curiosity in the check-out line.  The checker and the people ahead and behind me all wanted to know what I was going to do with them!
