Mark Bittman's moving on

Bummer: Mark Bittman has posted his last regular column in The New York Times. In A Farewell he gives good reasons for moving on. Still, I'll miss his interesting and thought-provoking writing.

I hate to see him go, and certainly wish him well. I have his collection of The Minimalist columns bookmarked on the NYT site, and may eventually download them all; I refer to them often. And his "How To Cook Everything" is one of the half-a-dozen cookbooks I Would Not Be Without.

Someone I've read and "followed" for many years.  Clipped and saved his columns and, now, own his books.

Of course, I wish him the very best.  To be sure, I'll read him again wherever he lands.

On today's Good Food (one of my must-listen podcasts) host Evan Kleiman interviewed Mark Bittman about his recent decision to end his opinion column in the Times.  He says that he will be writing but doesn't yet know what or where.  I'm looking forward to hearing what he does going forward.

I love those podcasts but would have missed this one without your comment.  Thank you for the notification.
