I thought Id take an Individual Hit for the Team:

Uno's  ( The Chain ) individual take out deep Dish Original Crust.

I thought of a couple of hits a McD, but nothing new there.

Maybe a 2 for 5 at BK, the Yumbo + Big King, but ....

so Uno's DD.

Ive been to the original Uno's so long ago that's all there was.  you waited for a ( long ) while, got a

both, ordered and waited aother long while in there then inhaled the Original Chicago Deep Dish.  you of

course burnt the roof of your mouth you were so hungry having to wait x 2, and the aroma of the second

wait, well,  that was that.

I called my Local Uno's , never having been there.  But I eye-ball it from time to time as its right next to

BB&B.  Ive been there a few times, w a fist full of coupons.

I ask how large was the individual, an Im fairly sure they said 9 ".   I did't record this conversation, the

tape was full.

so I got a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom to go.  20 min.

there was a bit of traffic and I got there in 15.

the box startled me a bit, it was so small !

but Science Waits for No One.

got the box home toot sweet.  all the traffic was going in the "Shopping Direction"

here is the DD:

here Sur la Plate :

UnoPlate.jpg

this is a 7 1/4 " DD.  Ill give them some error room and call it 7 1/2"

I added my Usual : EVOO, oregano, chili flakes, green tabasco.

It was really quite tasty Ill have to say.  there is a lot of dough.

if you havent had DD @ Uno, think a fairly thick focaccia that's round w toppings.

it might have a little cornmeal in it, and its a touch on the sweet side.  I found I liked it.

but it seemed a bit small for  $ 12.60  total.

but I did like it, more and more as the Study continued.

If you judge DD " but the inch "  this might come up a bit short.

if you judge DD  by the 'Couch'  ie this is a 3/4 Couch.  ie Nap.

I left 1/4 for breakfast :

UnoBreak.jpg

If I had to eat the last 1/4 to get a 'Couch'  it would have been a 4/4. rating.

this rating system is used in WoodWorking :  4/4 reads  Four / Quarter.  3 / 4 reads 3 / quarter.

Best of All :   Science on the Cheeeep :  I had a $ 10 coupon

total cost  : $ 2.60, some Gas, and some Seasonal Traffic.

if this DD came in ( total ) < $8. or even better $ 7.50 that would be one thing

at $ 12.60  its quite another.

maybe they will send more coupons

its right next to BB&B  maybe Coupon-itis will rub off from BB to Uno's

PS possible they "Measure by the Box"  and this is the 9 " by-the-diameter Box

not the DD

tricky, they are.

Thank for taking one for the team! We used to have Uno's around here but they have all disappeared. I loved their pizza crust...yes, a little on the sweet side but good.

Thanks again.
